My research examines how oyster aquaculture methods in the Pacific Northwest effect Vibrio spp. levels compared to those methods currently being studied in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic coast. The goal of this study is to maximize comparability to our group's prior results and to provide new insights on oyster aquaculture and how to handle shellfish to reduce Vibrio levels and increase safety for consumption.
